Garuda to Fly Directly to London in November

The country′s flag carrier Garuda Indonesia plans to serve direct flight between Jakarta and London starting Nov. 15.



Currently Garuda flies to London from Sydney with transit in Jakarta , Erik Meijer, Garuda′s sales and marketing director said.

Garuda will use the 440-seat Boeing 777-300ER aircraft to serve the Jakarta-London route four times in a week, Meijer said here last weekend.

Garuda already had two units of Boeing 777-300ER early this month, he said, adding the airline plans to increase the number to 10 units until 2015.

So far Garuda already serves direct flights to Europe between Jakarta and Amsterdam of the Netherlands to be followed with the Sydney-Jakarta-London flight.
