The first Indonesian novel in Hungarian translation

The autobiographical novel of Andrea Hirata, the Laskar Pelangi (Rainbow Troops) received its Hungarian translation and this month it starts selling in Hungarian bookstores by Geopen Publishing House.

 The novel was first published in 2005 and quickly became a bestseller in Indonesia. In it′s country of origin, the book was even elected the book of the year and in 2008 Riri Riza directed a film from it with the same title.
